I hate it when people categorize Latinos as Mexicans. Puertoricans aren't illegal, so they're nowhere the same as Mexicans.

I believe anti-illegal immigration is not equal to racism, but comments about Mexico and Mexicans are, as well as the words "beaner", "spic", "mexishithole" and all those nasty words people use are what make people upset.

i agree with you. I´m also against illegal immigration and criminal acts.
drebert2627 (December 31st, 2008 @ 5:45 am)
Many illegal Mexicans here in the US equate anti-illegal immigration to racism. That is false. Everyone just needs to come here legally. The good people that come here illegally just to work set a bad example. Criminals come with them to exploit the citizens of the US and the government. They cut in line while Asians, Arabs, and Africans have to wait months and months to be able to come here. If we sent 25 million unskilled workers, 9 million criminals to Mexico, how would the public react?
Gabyjmn (December 31st, 2008 @ 5:38 am)
and I agree with you completely that something must be done on both parts. The Mexican government to educate those workers, and the US government to make tougher laws against the illegal aliens who enter the US and cause trouble.
drebert2627 (December 31st, 2008 @ 5:36 am)
Actually, I'm not critizing Mexico on any immigrant. I'm basing that on what I have seen and experienced from my personal experiences in Mexico. The majority of Mexicans that enter the US illegally are the poor, unskilled, and uneducated. The rest, such as yourself, stay in Mexico. That is why the Mexican Government looks the other way when the are "deporting" millions of their uneducated and unskilled workers. But look at those that come with them... MS-13, drug dealers, rapists, criminals...
Gabyjmn (December 31st, 2008 @ 1:16 am)
that would equal to 82 percent of the total US population, which, as you must know, is ridiculous. sure, some illegal immigrants are not respecting the country, which they should, but that doesnt give you the right to criticize a whole nation judging on a few people.
Gabyjmn (December 31st, 2008 @ 1:15 am)
Comparing immigrants to gangsters is ridiculous first of all. I agree that Mexico has its own illegal immigration problem, and that they are not treated the way they should be. I agree that MOST (not all) are Mexican, but also MOST (not all) are decent people, only there to work, and feed their families. It´s wrong, I also agree. Check your statistics, today, illegal population is in between 10 to 20 million, not 250 million people-
