When I read the comments of the "brave" police officers in that time it makes no sense... The police have state of the art technology that protects while these (90% of them peaceful) protesters are subjected to poison, high velocity projectiles, and weapons of extensive force at their disposal makes them (the police) more of a threat then anyone else. Also, its common knowledge that there was lack of leader ship in controlling the anarchist. I'll bet it was intentional!
