LEDs may be the future and I agree but the government shouldn't decide what we should use. The free market should decide whether LEDs stick or flop. How would you feel if the government made you choose laser Disks over DVDs.

Hear hear! LED's are the future anyways. Much more potential. Already nearing 200 lumens/ watt with a theoretical limit of 700 a watt. Beat that CFL!

Everything this Congressman says is true. I sell commercial lighting. Compact fluorescents have their place, but they do contain mercury, which is poisonous. The government DSOES NOT have the right to regulate the type of light bulbs we use.
