I think so too. I turned it in for service under PSP. All they did was clean the screen with a degreaser and that was it. They had it for two weeks, and didn't fix any of the problems I originally complained about. They charged me $100 to back up 10 gigs of data. I could by a 100 gig hard drive and do it myself for less than that.

And also I'd like to add. A memory problem is not an extremely easy thing to spot. It isn't something that will always jump out at you. And she said it's a $25 fix. That is only somewhat true. I'd charge $30 to install it, but the memory itself is also going to cost you around $30. If you count parts and labor, it is a $60 fix. And that is for carry-in. On-site this is about a $100 fix.

Stuff like this makes me sick. It makes a bad impression for real professionals who know what they are doing. $70-90/hour is reasonable for on-site. $50-100 for carry-in service is reasonable.

I hate how in these videos they make it lik $50 to $100 is a rip off.. but what people need to understand is you are not paying for 5 minuts of work, you are paying for 10 years experience. Additionally, your business will NEVER suceed only charging $20 for a repair.
